Last weekend Castrol Raceway in Edmonton Alberta hosted Race #3 of the Western Canadian Motorsports Association, presented by Fastech Performance Tire Centers.
After a cool and rainy-qualifying on Saturday morning Daryl Harr was second in the competitive field from western Canada. Once the track dried out Daryl was able to put down some fast laps in the Mobil 1 / BlueWater Group Toyota 86!
This double-header points weekend had racers from across Western Canada, Daryl Harr and his Toyota 86 was the class of the field with two first-place finishes! Thanks to the cooler weather on Saturday the Toyota 2.0L Boxer engine was at max power and Daryl turned in a new track record at 1:29.861 (close to a second faster than the old record!). The 2016 campaign has been a successful one, after suffering an engine failure in the first event, this weekend completed the motorsports hat trick with three first-place finishes in a row.
Daryl and the WestWorld Motorsports team thanks our supporters; BlueWater Group, Mobil 1 and Toyota Canada! Next on-track for the 2016 points leader is September 24 & 25th for the WCMA season finale at Castrol Raceway. Then in October it is on-to the United States in for the last race of the season in the Pirelli World Challenge Series and the Western States run-offs in the National Auto Sport Association.
