After running strongly in qualifying, Jordan Latimer’s hopes of a strong run ended after getting caught up in an early crash at the Velocity 250.

Latimer started off the weekend strong, finishing sixth in his first heat, followed by a seventh in the second heat. With a pair of solid finishes, Latimer escaped having to run the b-mains on Sunday morning.

Starting 18th in the feature, Latimer was right in the thick of the storm when a pair of the front running cars didn’t get going. He wasn’t able to get slowed up timing, making significant contact with another competitor which resulted in front-end damage. As a result, he’d be forced pit side and done for the afternoon.

Jordan Latimer and JL Motorsports thank Ken Semkin for the opportunity to run the car for the Velocity weekend.
