Deerfield Beach, Florida - Records are nice, but Performance Tech Motorsports would like to see results.

Performance Tech is trying to make peace with Lady Luck at Lime Rock Park for the Northeast Grand Prix TUDOR United SportsCar Championship event July 24-25 in Lakeville, Connecticut. This comes after a disappointing weekend July 10-12 at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park left the team with two track records but no trophy to show for it.

The team earned its second TOTAL Pole Award of the season at CTMP thanks to driver James French. He turned a Prototype Challenge track-record qualifying lap time of 1 minute, 12.667 seconds. Teammate Conor Daly proved again the speed and engineering of the No. 38 were up to par by laying down a track-record race lap of 1:11.360.

It has been two years since Performance Tech last stepped foot at Lime Rock Park, as the PC class returns to the bucolic circuit after a one-year absence. The team finished third in the PC class in 2013.

Daly and French would welcome a podium finish. Two possible top-three finishes were foiled in the last two events, first by damage in late June at Watkins Glen International and then by watered-down fuel at CTMP.

But after three third-place finishes earlier in the year, third place is seemingly a roadblock for the team. So it's top step or bust at Lime Rock Park for Team Principal Brent O'Neill and the rest of Performance Tech.

"We've had bad luck, and we have to rise above," O'Neill said. "We've got a great car, and we go for the win every time. That's why we bring Conor (Daly) in. He's done so much that he can just hop in the car and get it done. I think that helps James, as well. He can work and learn with Conor, and really the whole team does, too. At this point in the season, James has learned that you have to start pushing yourself from the first lap out or else you aren't going to win.

"There's a big difference in how we'll take on this track compared to the last time we were there. This time with an engineer like Ryan (McCarthy, lead engineer) in the pits, we're ready to attack from the first session. We aren't out there just turning laps; we're attacking and trying to be the fastest every time. I think we'll be ready to get back at it, and everyone is looking forward to this trip to Lime Rock Park."

The Lime Rock TUDOR United SportsCar Championship weekend will feature the PC and GT Daytona classes. PC qualifying begins at 5:40 p.m. (ET) Friday, July 24 and can be viewed live on imsa.tv and followed on scoring.imsa.com or on the IMSA mobile app for iOS, Android or Windows.

The Northeast Grand Prix, a two-hour, 40-minute race, begins at 3:15 p.m. Saturday, July 25. Fans can follow the race on Twitter with @IMSALive or through live timing at scoring.imsa.com or the IMSA mobile app for iOS, Android or Windows.

Fans can watch the race live on imsa.tv or at 5 p.m. (ET) Sunday, July 26 on FOX Sports 1. During the race the No. 38 will be featured as one of the in-car cameras for the live broadcast on FOX Sports 1.
