Karting action was back underway at Merrittville Speedway after a 2 week rain delay.

Thorold, Ontario – After a two week rain delay – it was worth the wait for two Novice Karters Tuesday June 21st as Cohen Corbett and Spencer Maytum won their first features of the season in the Vansickle Pet Valu Novice 1 and Tim Phillips Garage KC Auto Parts Novice 2 Divisions.

KC Auto Parts Victory Lane also had Tucker Wood and Joshua Hansen make their 7th visits in the RCM Racing Equipment Junior 1 and Superior PetroFuels Junior Restrticted Divisions respectively.

Performance Manufacturing Divisional action also had Dalton Slack take home his 5th win in the Ed MacPherson Construction Junior 2 Division as did John Matthews in the Wilder Racing Engines Senior Animal Class.

Saturday Night Van Raine Construction 4 Cylinder veteran Kyle Rothwell rounded out the winners – winning for the third time in the Cassell Manufacturing Senior Fun Division.

The night also included a special match race between Lisa Marie Haegens and Tracy Palleschi in the Rothwell and Goulding Karts and may have created new karters.

Kart Race Teams are reminded that for the next two weeks – Racing will take place on Wednesdays – July 29th and August 5th. Action starts at 7 PM both nights – Grandstand Admission is FREE..
