Toronto, Ontario – Fans in attendance at last year’s Motorama Custom Car & Motorsports Expo Presented by Mothers had a great time meeting Steve Darnell, the owner of Las Vegas’ WelderUp Hot Rod & Fab Shop and star of the TV show Vegas Rat Rods.

The super-creative and personable builder is returning to Motorama again this year. And this time, he’s bringing one of the show’s other stars; ‘Barber’ Dave Lefler. The duo – who are also cousins – will be in attendance all three days of Motorama.

While at the show, they’ll be signing autographs, taking part in on-stage discussions, posing for pictures and chatting with fellow automotive enthusiasts about WelderUp’s incredible, unique creations and the television show that has earned them international attention.

Motorama takes place March 10, 11 & 12 at The International Centre, across from Toronto’s Pearson Airport.

“I’m really looking forward to coming back to the Toronto Motorama show,” said Darnell. “I had a fantastic time last year. WelderUp is killing it more than ever, creating some amazing machines. And with Season 3 of Vegas Rat Rods set to begin airing on Discovery Canada in March, the timing is perfect to come back and hang out with our Canadian fans.

“And it’s going to be fun bringing ‘Barber’ Dave with me. We have a great time working together on cars and we love teasing him on the show, the way family does to each other. I know everyone at Motorama is going to have a blast meeting him.”

Discussing his first-ever visit to Canada and the Motorama show, ‘Barber’ Dave said, “I got a passport, just so I can come and see everybody up there! Steve talked about it like crazy after he got back from Toronto last year and I’m ‘way excited’ to come with him, this time.”

Darnell, a former rancher from Montana before committing himself full-time to creating his ‘rolling works of art,’ has made a huge impact on the ‘rat rod’ scene with his amazing vehicles and colourful personality. Darnell prides himself on building cars that don’t look like anything you’ll find in someone’s driveway, or even at a traditional hot rod show.

“Steve Darnell came to Motorama last year and he was a huge hit. I can’t tell you how much respect we have for him,” said Motorama’s Greg MacPherson. “He was up for everything, including checking out the other cars in the show, being on discussion panels and making time to connect with everyone he met. Steve’s as real as they get and we’re really happy that he’s coming back to the show and bringing ‘Barber’ Dave with him.”
