Edson, Alberta - Family has been an integral part of the Northern Provincial Pipelines Late Model Series since its first official season back in 2001. Larry and Earl Simpson were the first brothers to compete in the NPP Series in 2001 and finish top 10 in points. The 2004 season saw Gerry and Trevor Emond becoming the first father and son to finish top 10 in the NPP Series Championship points chase. In 2009 Dwight and Crystal Kennedy were the first father and daughter to accomplish this top 10 feat in the NPP Late Model Series.

Ohsweken, Ontario – Ohsweken Speedway's 19th season of racing will take the green flag this Friday, May 23 at 7:30pm, and large fields are expected in all of the regular Friday night divisions. The event is presented by Woodstock Ford, and will include the Corr/Pak Merchandising 360 Sprint Cars, Strickland's GMC Crate Sprint Cars, Affordable Towing & Recovery Thunder Stocks, HRW Automotive Mini Stocks, and Gale's Auto Aftermarket Bombers.

Bowmanville, Ontario – Luc Lesage driver of the #24 SportChief/EcoTone Dodge proved he belongs on the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series circuit with a strong effort on Sunday at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park. Lesage, who was making his debut in the Pinty's presents the Clarington 200 had only limited experience in a NASCAR type car with only one prior test session before the event on Sunday.
