Central District, Hong Kong - The final rounds of the Asian Formula Renault 2.0 Championship were held at the Zhuhai International Circuit in China on October 29-30/2016.

#66 Beijing Manthey Team driver, Maxx Ebenal, showed a strong pace all weekend, consistently being at the top of the time sheets while being behind the wheel of the 2013 spec FR2.0 serviced by Asia Racing Team.

Qualifying was early Saturday morning, just before the Asian Lemans Series, Maxx was able to carry out two clean laps which would be good enough for pole position for both race #1 and race #2.

With the help of the Royal Veterinary Center Macau and X-Lane, Maxx was able to finish on the podium for both races during the weekend.

Despite missing two races earlier in the season, Maxx Ebenal finished the 2016 Asian Formula Renault season in 2nd place overall with career best results:

3 wins
4 poles
9 podiums (10 races)

"I just want to thank everyone at Asia Racing Team in Zhuhai, mainly Phillippe Descombes for giving me the chance to pilot the Beijing Manthey Team car in the later half of the season. Without ART, I would not have finished the season with such good results."

"It felt great to come back mid season and fight for the championship, recording pole positions and wins against such fierce competitors." Says Ebenal as he prepares for his last races in the China F4 championship next week in Zhuhai.
