Elmvale, Ontario – 2015 & 2016 Formula Vee Challenge Cup Series Champion Matt Garwood (MGR) announces team sponsors for the 2017 motorsport season.

Garwood has his sights set on earning another Formula Vee Challenge Cup Series Championship title and knows how important it is to align a growing team with the right partners. Garwood will participate in all five official Challenge Cup Series race weekends across Ontario, Canada and the United States.

In 2017 Garwood and his Matt Garwood Racing team are proud to announce continued partnerships with:

Driverseat Barrie, Core Evolution Fitness, Autoglym Canada, Leaf Racewear and Driven Steering Wheels.

Garwood would also like to welcome Nashville based HD Designs aboard as Matt Garwood Racing’s official helmet painter and graphic designer. HD Designs owner Hunter Dobson has become a good friend of Garwood’s over the years and they look forward to working together in 2017.

“This is a special year for my motorsport program as 2017 will be my 6th consecutive season competing in open wheel racing across Canada and the United States. I am proud of how far our motorsport program has come and plan to continue building our MGR team in the future. 2017 will be another new and exciting challenge but I strive to learn as much as possible while representing our team partners to the best of my abilities” said Matt Garwood.

Garwood would like to thank all partners over the years, especially feldrives.com for their incredible support as the title sponsor of MGR since 2012. FEL made it possible for Garwood to start his open wheel career and after two champions and many race wins Garwood would like to wish FEL and owner Chris Bye all the best in the future.

Be sure to check out Garwood’s new 2017 livery featuring our Matt Garwood Racing partners at the 2017 Motorama Custom Car & Motorsport Expo March 10-12th located at the BARC/CASC booth.

Garwood is also proud to be back as a "Laps for Muscular Dystrophy" (Laps4MD) driver in 2017 where he has pledged to donate $1 for every lap he leads to go to Muscular Dystrophy Canada.
