Montréal, Quebec – In this year during which we will celebrate 50 years of the rich history of the sport in the country, the FORMULA 1 GRAND PRIX DU CANADA is pleased to announce that tickets are now on sale for seats in the very first covered grandstand at Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve. Erected on the inside of the track, along the straight leading into the Senna Corner, this new “Platinum Grandstand” is a first in the events history. Since it’s move to Montreal in 1978, the most popular sporting event in the country has never before offered this type of product. This new grandstand shall be fitted with a roof and large, ultra comfortable seating.

“We are proud and pleased to offer race fans this great innovation, a superb and comfortable covered grandstand, a very special gift to celebrate in great fashion 50 years of Formula 1 in Canada”, stated the President and Chief Executive Officer of Octane Racing Group Inc., François Dumontier. “At the same time, we are responding to a demand that numerous spectators have been requesting for some time. I congratulate and thank our operations team and our technical partners who have developed a high qualityproduct, which will undoubtedly be much appreciated”, further stating that this installation at Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve will also be the first of its kind in the Province of Québec.

Fans can now purchase one or more of the limited number of seats offered in this new “Platinum Grandstand” for all three days of the event presented on June 9, 10, and 11, these ultra-comfortable seats in our new covered grandstand can be purchased for $850 CAN (taxes and fees included).
