Toronto, Ontario – Lindsay Rice, driver of the #18 Rice Racing Porsche 911 takes home two podium wins in her opening race weekend of the season at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park.

Lindsay and her support team Bestline Auto Tech started off the season at the Race Ontario Championship BEMC Spring Trophy races this Saturday. Rice was entered to race in both the GT Sprint class and GT Challenge three-hour endurance race.

After an unforeseen incident in qualifying Saturday morning, she had to postpone her participation in the GT Sprints and instead focused on racing Saturday afternoon in the GT Challenge three-hour endurance. The team was able to get the #18 Porsche ready for Lindsay, and for her endurance racing partner and race coach Marco Cirone. Cirone is a professional driver and the four-time Platinum Masters Champion in the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Canada series and current Platinum driver for Mark Motors Racing out of Ottawa, ON.

The duo split the race in half, and took home an astounding first place in GT3 class, as well as a first place overall.

Rice was able to focus on GT Sprints again Sunday, where she contested in the twenty-minute race in the GT3 class. Despite the intermittent weather that the team saw, Rice took home another podium for the weekend and stood on the second place step with a medal in hand.

The Rice Racing team is set to contest again at the Porsche Club Clash at the Glen race on June 2-4th, 2017 at Watkins Glen International Raceway.
