Toronto, Ontario – CTCC presented by Pirelli is pleased to launch its new Championship season with the announcement of the 2018 racing schedule.

We are thrilled to be entering our twelfth season and honoured to have so many strong supporters and partners such as Pirelli this year. CTCC will again be featured over six event weekends at some of the most challenging tracks in Canada with the traditional two-race format for a total of twelve championship races. The championship is comprised of four classes including; Touring, Super Touring, GT Sport and GT Cup.

Touring class is the entry-level category where minimal vehicle and engine modifications are permitted. Super Touring class is the category for heavily modified touring cars with advanced suspension and aerodynamics. GT Sport class is the category for sports cars with advanced suspension and aerodynamics. The new GT Cup is the category for ultra performance sports cars such the Chevrolet Corvette, Dodge Viper, Ferrari 430/458, Nissan GTR and Porsche 991/997 GT3.

Loyal to its tradition, CTCC will start the season at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park in May with the first double-header of the summer. Then, off to Calabogie Motorsports Park in June and Shannonville Motorsport Park in July. In August, CTCC returns to the Grand Prix de Trois-Rivières for its annual Friday night feature race. Teams will be thrilled to be returning to the infield paddock where fans are amongst the finest in Canada.

A few weeks later, CTCC will reconvene for the Chevrolet Silverado 250 for another double-header at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park. The August outing will be highly anticipated as it is the penultimate event of the season. Our grand finale will take place at Circuit ICAR at the end of September.

To launch our season and meet with fans, CTCC will be participating at the Canadian International Autoshow at the Metro Convention Center from February 16 – 25. Championship cars will be on display in our booth on Level 100 of the North Building. For information: www.autoshow.ca.
