Thorold, Ontario –. Merrittville Speedway’s 64th Season will take a huge step forward when the Speedway Office opens for the season beginning Tuesday April 7th.

“It’s a busy time of year for the entire racing community,” said (Merrittville Speedway GM) Erica Bicknell-Jones, “we’re back at the track working towards our first events … the same thing goes for our Lucas Oil Weekly Racing Series Teams as they put the final touches on their rides before they take to the track.”

Drivers will take to the race track for the first time on Saturday April 18th for Test Tune and Inspection.

“With the winter we all have endured and the relatively cool start to spring … we just want to see it end. For all us of there are only three words we all want to hear … LET’S GO RACING!” added Bicknell-Jones.

When the Pit Gates Open at 12 PM. – Inspections will begin and Race Teams are encouraged to come early. Cars will not be allowed on the Race Track at 5 PM unless they are inspected.

Race Fans can take in the April 18th on track sessions with Free Grandstand Admission.

While the evening session is intended for the Thorold facility’s Divisions – the Pinty’s 358 Modifieds, Rick’s Delivery Sportsman, Hoosier Stocks, Rev’s Full Throttle Powersports Modified Lites and the Van Raine Construction 4 Cylinders – Drivers from other classes are expected in including RUSH Late Models, and local Sprint Car Teams looking to prepare for visits of the Patriot Sprint Tour, Lucas Oil Empire Super Sprints and the return of the Southern Ontario Sprints.

From when the Speedway Office Opens for business on April 7th – Race Fans may wish to purchase or renew their Season Tickets.

There’s no better way to enjoy all the action with a 2015 Grandstand Season Pass with two options available. Reserved or General Admission Season Tickets offer a savings of more than $100.00.

Beginning with Saturday April 25th’s Annual Spring Sizzler, Grandstand Season Tickets are good for all events. A Reserved Ticket which includes a Club Castropignano Pasta Dinner for the Monday August 3rd Annual Bob St. Amand Senior Big Block Modified Super DIRTcar Series 100 presented by L. St. Amand Enterprises and St. Amand Auto & Truck Repair is an economical $295.00 for Adults while the Youth and Senior rate is $265.00.

General Admission Season Tickets for Adults are $265.00 with the price $245.00 for Youth and Seniors.

With either option – race fans with Season Tickets do not have to wait in Ticket Lines each event and with a Reserved Seat – you can pick your favorite seat … and it’s yours for the entire season … from start to finish!
