Saturday April 25th will find events and activities throughout the entire mall including your chance to WIN Jerry Seinfeld tickets!

Saturday April 25th … the celebration moves down Niagara Street and Merrittville Highway with the Seaway Mall presenting Merrittville Speedway’s Spring Sizzler featuring the Patriot Sprint Tour … the Pinty’s 358 Modifieds and the Rick’s Delivery Sportsman.

Pit Gates open for the Seaway Mall Spring Sizzler at 3 PM with the Front Gates swinging open for the first time of the Season at 5:30. Showtime is at 7 PM.

“The Seaway Mall has quite a celebration planned ,” reveals (Merrittville Speedway GM) Erica Bicknell-Jones, “after kicking it off through-out the day ... we’re excited to help them wrap it up with Sprint Cars … Modifieds and Sportsman = we can’t think of a better way to kick off our 64th season either!”

Face the Arts Entertainment Bubble Show will kick this Saturday’s Celebration off at 11 AM in the Seaway Mall’s Centre Court with plenty of other events scheduled for Sears Court, Cinema Court and the Sport Chek Hallway. All events are free however United Way volunteers will be on hand accepting donations.

Seaway Mall Tents will be stationed throughout the Mall handing out ballots and swag to customers that want to WIN Jerry Seinfeld Tickets. Bring a non-perishable food donation for your chance to enter.

“Since race fans enjoyed seeing the Race Cars up close during their stay with us,” reveals Seaway Mall’s Mike Belcastro, “we have been anticipating seeing them in action on the track as much as anyone.”

The Spring Sizzler kicks off the 13th Season for the Patriot Sprint Tour – the first of 8 Events in Canada as a separate points race from the season long chase across the northeast states.

Bradford Pennsylvania’s Jared Zimbardi will surely be looking for a good start in the 2015 PST Opener. In 2014 – he took home both the Canadian and US Championships and will be looking for his 4th overall title this season.

The field should include local drivers such as Ohsweken Speedway Corr/Pack Sprint Car Champion Glenn Styres, the Turners – father Jamie and sons Cory and Ryan and Jimmy Huppenen. The Turners among other Sprint Cars were all on track in last week’s Test and Tune and a host of others from both sides of the border.

Pinty’s 358 Modified Driver Chris Steele will likely see lots of action on the night with his Cosco Haulage 17c pitside in addition to his Friday Night Sprint Car ride.
