Thorold, Ontario – When Merrittville Speedway opens for Lococo Wholesale’s May 16th Lucas Oil Weekly Racing Series program, representatives from the Rankin Cancer Run will be set up with information on the 10th Annual Event set for May 23rd.

"It seems everyone is touched by cancer. It's taking over," informs Mary Ann Edwards, Rankin Cancer Run Director. "That's why the money has to stay here in Niagara."

The Rankin Cancer Run is all for Niagara. Every single dollar raised helps local cancer patients - get involved, have fun and make a difference right here in our community.

"It's our passion beyond description. We live and breathe this run every single day," said Edwards.

Last year’s Rankin Cancer Run raised $750,000 for cancer treatment in the Niagara Region. The all volunteer unpaid committee could only have dreamed of being able to raise 4.654 milliion to date. Why don’t we celebrate by raising 1 million in 2015!

The Rankin Cancer Run is a 1K 5K Walk /Run that starts from the Grantham Lions Park and will take you through the Port Weller area of St. Catharines including the picturesque canal pathway system.
