Millgrove, Ontario – Flamboro Speedway may be getting their season started later than intended, but they will be doing so in a big way.

Track officials are proud to announce they will kick off the 2021 season with the first round of the Grisdale Triple Crown on June 19. The event will also feature the Super Stocks, Mini Stocks, Pure Stocks, and Canadian Vintage Modifieds.

A staple in Flamboro’s history, the ever-popular Grisdale Triple Crown once again is a feature statement on the schedule. Consisting of three 100-lap features run throughout the year, points are given out by finishing position. The driver who has the most at the end of the final event will be crowned the 2021 Champion. The battle is expected to go right down to the wire, just like 2019 with Shae Gemmell edging out J.R. Fitzpatrick for the crown.

The Grisdale Triple Crown is also part of APC Late Model Series Incentive Program, which will pay $5000 to a driver if they can win the APC Series championship and the Grisdale Triple Crown. The series will also offer a $1000 bonus to a driver with 100% attendance in the APC Series and the Triple Crown.

For the Triple Crown event, you will need to buy four tires from Grisdales. You will receive them by going there, paying, dropping off your rims, and they will bring the tires on the rims to the track on June 19.

With the current government restrictions, no spectators are allowed to be in attendance for the event, with just 60% of the population vaccinated. They have stated once another 10% are, a certain number will be allotted. Keep tuned to the social channels for details when and how.

For now, the track is in the process of ensuring the event is on video, whether live or next-day replay. Those interested in sponsoring the coverage and helping out are encouraged to get a hold of track officials.

On race day, the pits will open from 8am to 8:45 am for the Pure Stocks to enter, followed by the Canadian Vintage Modifieds from 9am to 9:45 am. The Super Stocks will get into the track property next from 10 am to 10:45 am, followed by Mini Stocks from 11 am to 11:45 am. The Pro Late Models will then get their chance to go through gates from 12 pm to 12:45 pm.

As the same with last year, all team members must show up together at the gate together, entering as a group, with no one allowed in-and-out privileges through the event.

There will be driver’s meetings for each class, taking place beginning at 10:45 am and half-hour in-between the divisions at the Go-Kart Podiums. Pure Stocks first, followed by the Canadian Vintage Modifieds, Super Stocks, Mini Stocks, and Pro Late Models.

There will be a half-hour practice for each group, as well, beginning at 1:15 pm ET, following the same order as the driver’s meetings.

The starting grids will be set through time trials, beginning at 4pm with the Pure Stocks. Following qualifying, there will be features for each of the divisions – 30 laps for Pure Stocks, 30 laps for Canadian Vintage Modifieds, 50 laps for Super Stocks, 40 laps for Mini Stocks, and 100 laps for the Late Models.

Social distancing rules will be in effect, with masks mandatory as they must be worn when you are not in a racecar. You must have hand sanitizer in your pits, with gloves strongly encouraged. Additionally, 1 Way Radios are MANDATORY, and must be utilized by either the driver or spotter, and be present for technical inspection.

Please also note that there will be absolutely no alcohol consumption allowed before, during, or after the event. If you are caught with alcohol, you will be penalized with a fine/suspension.
