Mount-Albert, Ontario – Gavin Sanders is gearing up for his first-ever participation at the famed Grand Prix de Trois-Rivières (GP3R) this weekend in the Nissan Sentra Cup.

Trois-Rivières has been the host of the annual GP3R since 1967. The urban track, located in the middle of the city, has seen some of the best drivers, like James Hunt, Gilles Villeneuve, Ron Fellows, Jacques Villeneuve and more.

It will be a first for Sanders, as last year's event was cancelled due to the ongoing pandemic. The #10 MOTOMASTER / Fat Bastard Burrito / Braidan Motorsport Nissan Sentra driver has never done the 2.46 km, 11-turn track, except on his simulator. "I am definitely excited to race at the GP3R as it will be my first time," stated Gavin. "It will be a challenge as most Sentra Cup drivers have already competed there before."

The GP3R is renowned for its close walls and intense racing, which does not faze Gavin; "I am not afraid of a good challenge, and the layout of the track will make for great racing!" Sanders is in a great position in the Championship battle, being amongst the top runners. "There is a total of 106 points up for grabs at the GP3R; 50 points per win, 2 points for pole position and 2 points for the fastest lap during each race. The title is very much still on the table and will be until the end of the season, which is as equally exciting for us as it is for our fans!"
