Driver Quotes
Orey Fidani, driver of the No. 13 Orlando Duqueine D08 LMP3
“Canadian Tire Motorsport Park holds a special place in my heart as it is my home track. I know this track like the back of my hand, having raced here countless times. I couldn’t be happier to celebrate Canada Day at CTMP with Kyle Marcelli and our crew. Speaking of the crew, I want to thank them for their outstanding work after our accident at Watkins Glen. They pushed hard ahead of CTMP to fix the car.”
Kyle Marcelli, driver of the No. 13 Orlando Duqueine D08 LMP3
“ I'm looking forward to racing at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park. It's been two years since IMSA has been there. I always have a bit of extra confidence and motivation to do well at my home track, especially in front of our local fans. I'm looking forward to racing the LMP3.
It's been six years since I've raced a prototype! From 2010 to 2016, I was in the American Le Mans Series in the LMPC class, but since 2016 it has been only GT cars, so it will take a little bit of a refresh. I think I'll be competitive, but I don't expect it to be easy against guys like Colin Braun or Garett Grist, who have spent a lot of time in those cars in the past years. Nonetheless, AWA is a great team; they are attentive to details, and they have great engineering this year. We did a test at CTMP a few weeks ago that was quite good. We are as ready as we can be.
Orey and I are both looking forward to the weekend and putting on a good show in front of our home crowd. The team has yet to celebrate a first podium this year, so this is definitely the goal this weekend.”
