Thorold, Ontario – Joshua Hansen remains undefeated in Lucas Oil Weekly Karting Series Racing at Merrittville Speedway while daughter and father Hana and Kyle Rothwell, Joey Priestley and Dylan Culp each won their first Features of the season over the course of the regular June 23rd event and the added June 24th rain out makeup date.

Hansen’s 5th win came in the Superior PetroFuels Junior Restricted Division Tuesday Night while the rookie Hana Rothwell’s came in the Vansickle PetValu Novice 1 Division. 24 hours after her win, Kyle Rothwell took on fellow Van Raine Construction 4 Cylinder Division veteran Rob Goulding in the Cassell Manufacturing Senior Fun Division and took home the win as well.

Priestley’s first win of the season was in the RCM Racing Equipment Junior 1 Division Tuesday Night.

In Wednesday’s Wilder Racing Engines Senior Animal Feature, Dylan Culp won his first of the season in memory of his late great grandfather Wilfred Kimberley whose funeral the family had attended earlier in the day.

Performance Manufacturing Divisional action through the two events also saw defending Logan Iliffe win his 2nd Vansickle PetValu Novice 1 Feature while Ed MacPherson Construction Junior 2 Drivers Dalton Slack and Kyle Phillips take their third wins.

Rookie Ali Harmoch swept both Tim Phillips Garage KC Auto Parts Novice 2 Features bringing his win total to 4. John Matthews also took home win number 4 Tuesday in the Wilder Racing Engines Senior Animal Division.

RCM Racing Equipment defending champion Tucker Wood rounded out the long list of Feature Winners in taking his 5th of the season Wednesday Night.

With several Junior Restricted Division Drivers involved in school graduations – they wil have their makeup event Tuesday June 30th with double features on the schedule.

Pits Open at 5 and when the racing starts at 7 PM – Grandstand Admission is FREE.
