Thorold, Ontario – A cool night warmed up at Merrittville Speedway with 5 Lucas Oil Weekly Karting Series Drivers winning their first features of 2016.

First to visit KC Auto Parts Victory Lane was Trevor Evans who won the Vansickle Pet Valu Novice 1 Feature.

Logan Illiffe, Jaedon Lawson, Brandon Guttin and Travis Majuery also took home their first wins of the young season in the RCM Racing Equipment Junior 1, Ed MacPherson Construction Junior 2, Cassell Manufacturing Senior Fun and Wilder Racing Engines Senior Animal Divisions respectively.

In other Performance Manufacturing Divisional action, two stayed hot winning their second straight events. Undefeated are Jackson Maytum and Kyle Phillips in the Tim Phiilips Garage KC Auto Parts Novice 1 and Superior PetroFuels Junior Restricted Divisions.

Saturday Night May 14th, the Karters will join the Cotton Inc. Night with a display and exhibition. Kart Racing continues Tuesday May 17th. Pits Open at 5:30 and when the racing starts at 7 PM – Grandstand Admission is FREE.
