It has been a busy, and successful month of January for Nathan Dupuis. Earning a pair of podium results with two different engine platforms, in two different series, and at two different tracks, the young Canadian has asserted himself as one of the top Junior drivers in 2024.

Scoring a second-place result in the ROK Cup USA Florida Winter Tour at the Homestead Miami Karting Complex, Dupuis was a model of consistency through the main event to earn his first national podium result of 2024.

“It was a great weekend in Homestead,” explained Dupuis. “I was a little worried as we were off here last week in SKUSA competition but turned it around with the ROK. Not only was it a good result for me, but it was also good for the team with two drivers on the Junior podium.”

Fast forward to this past weekend and a return to the Orlando Kart Center for Dupuis, Nathan impressed all with his Rotax prowess. Near the front of the field throughout practice and each on-track session, Dupuis started the final in the tenth position and turned up the wick when it counted.

Driving like a seasoned veteran, Dupuis sliced his way forward as he was one of the fastest karts on track for the middle part of the race. Losing time making bold moves to get into a podium position, Dupuis tried to put pressure on the leader late in the race but ran out of time.

Dupuis added, “I used up some of my tires getting into second and just did not have enough left to make a good push at the end. The Orlando Kart Center layout rewards smooth yet aggressive driving, and I think I was able to prove that I could be at the front of the Junior field in all conditions. Also, I want to say a huge thank you to Henry and the guys at Kart Chaser for all the great coverage over the weekend.”

With no time off, Dupuis will continue his seven-week straight karting escapade as he returns to the Orlando Kart Center next weekend. Set to take on rounds three and four of the RMC Winter Trophy, Dupuis is in contention to not only fight for the win, but the championship and the accompanying RMC Grand Finals Ticket to compete for his country in Italy later this year.
