The Harley Davidson Canada flat track series presented by Parts Canada makes its return to Flamboro Downs on Saturday July 28th
for round five of the national series. This marks the third year in a row that the best flat track racers in Canada will be making an appearance on the beautiful cushion track to do battle at speeds exceeding 100mph.
Sanctioned by Flat Track Canada, the first four races this season have produced three different winners. With a tight battle going on for the points lead, Flamboro could be a pivotal round in the championship hunt. Last year the top three at Flamboro were Brodie Buchan, Don Taylor, and Dustin Brown. While any of these riders are capable of putting their bike to the front of the pack, expect Dave Pouliot, Chris Evans, and Tyler Seguin who won the most recent round at Welland County Speedway to be in the hunt for victory as well.
Flamboro will also be the second round this year that will be live streamed for fans all over the world to watch. Hills Productions will once again be providing the feed and fans at home can watch the event unfold on Facebook on the Flat Track Canada page or Flat Track Live page.
With the past season and a half of the AFT series in the U.S. being dominated by the riders on the Indian FTR 750, fans at Flamboro could be in for a treat. Rumours have one of the AFT riders bringing his Indian to Flamboro, which would give race fans their first glimpse of the gorgeous dirt slinger here on Canadian soil.
Flamboro will offer a VIP section for fans as well as a live band and Harley Davidson demo rides supported by Blackbridge Harley Davidson and will take place from 12pm to 6pm. Racing on Saturday will see heat races start at 3:00, with opening ceremonies scheduled for 6:45pm.
A portion of the ticket proceeds will go towards Big Brothers & Big Sisters.
A very tight points battle has formed between the top five racers in the Open Expert class. Reigning Canadian Champion Brodie Buchan along with Dustin Brown and Tyler Seguin all share the points lead at 63 points, Dave Pouliot at 62 points and veteran Chris Evans has 61 points.
