Canadian superbike racer Dan Kruger will be with the Penz13.com BMW Racing Team for the famous Isle of Man TT that gets under way this weekend.
Kruger's race season just got busier as he is also entered in the Suzuka 8 Hour Endurance race in Japan this July with a Japanese team and also has his full Superbike Championship in China which kicks off March 21-23 in Zhuhai, China.
Kruger will travel to the Isle Of Man very shortly, meeting with officials for a mandatory 2 day "newcomer" instruction as well as participate in several laps with Milky Quayle (Associate for TT Newcomers) to become familiar with the course and road racing in general.
The team would like to thank BMW Motorrad, Pirelli, Motul, Frank's Autowelt, ZF, SK Support, GB Racing and Nature Power.
Dan Kruger: "Like most racers around the world, it has always been a dream of mine to not only race the TT but also be aligned with such a world class team on factory prepped machinery. I can't wait for our first test in Europe next month! If all of this wasn't enough, to have Simon Andrews as a teammate is really fortunate. I really need to thank Rico Penzkofer and the entire Penz13.com BMW Racing Team for making this opportunity happen, allowing me this chance of a lifetime. I couldn't be more fortunate to have such a stacked team behind me for support. If you look at what Rico's team and Simon have accomplished in terms of racing over here, I couldn't have better supporters. Let's not forget that Andrews was teamed up John McGuiness last season in the TT Legends team, so surely his knowledge will be a bit of a help for me."
Rico Penzkofer: "Dan has really dominated over in China these past few years and is ready to take on a new challenge. He shows the maturity needed to safely take on the TT. I am really looking forward to working with him and I am pretty confident he will adapt to the BMW very quickly. I am really looking forward to this season in particular having a Canadian racing for us at the TT and also giving Simon Andrews a chance to show the world that he is back from serious injury and he means business."
