‘P.I.’ is Eastern Canada’s Leading Retailer of High Performance Auto Parts

Toronto, Ontario - Following a positive experience at last year’s Motorama Custom Car & Motorsports Expo, Performance Improvements – Eastern Canada’s leading retailer of high performance auto parts – is returning to the show next March to connect, once again, with current and potential customers who share their passion for cars.

According to founder Bob McJannett, the Performance Improvements booth will feature their Project 33 Factory Five ‘33 Ford built by Art Hagner’s students from Brampton, Ontario’s Judith Nyman Secondary School and a wide assortment of products to engage automotive and racing enthusiasts who attend the show. The 2016 edition of the Motorama Custom Car & Motorsports Expo takes place March 11, 12 & 13 at The International Centre, across from Toronto’s Pearson International Airport.

“We were very pleased with the attention we got last year at the Motorama show,” said McJannett. “There was a lot of foot traffic… lots of people stopping to talk… and there was a lot of interest in our products.”

With retail outlets in Etobicoke, Barrie, Brampton, Hamilton, Oshawa and Pierrefonds, Quebec, Performance Improvements Speed Shops are stocked with products from more than 650 suppliers and offer the country’s widest array of performance parts and accessories, designed specifically for virtually every domestic and import car model. Although the Canadian market is P.I.’s main focus, the company also ships throughout North America and around the world.

According to McJannett, Performance Improvements is still thriving – in its 52nd year in business – because the company has been able to “keep up with the times, adapting to changes and catering to our customers’ needs and wants.”

McJannett continued, “The market has changed dramatically since we opened our doors. In the past, someone would walk in and tell us he wanted another 100 horsepower out of his car. We’d sell him a new carburetor, a new manifold and some headers, and it would cost him about $1,500 dollars. Now, the same customer walks in with the same request… and we sell him a computer module that he can install under his dash that gets the same results… at about a third of the cost.”

With products aimed at veteran and novice hobbyists, Performance Improvements is a family-owned business that offers a personal touch. Bob, along with his sons Andy and Rob and several expert members of P.I.’s staff, will be on hand throughout the show.

“We always like to bring the newest products to the show,” continued McJannett. “We’ll have a good cross-section of products, the newest releases in terms of electronics and computers, plus the standard performance add-ons. We’ll be there to put our brand out there, ‘talk cars,’ and to let everyone know what we can offer them. The market keeps changing, and a show like Motorama lets us show that we are keeping up.”
