Under bright skies at the beautiful Horseshoe Valley Resort in Barrie, Ontario, the Karkoulas Sisters Racing (KSR) team put on their gear for one last weekend of battling for championship points on the track. That weekend, team mates and sisters, Brooklyn (11), Dakota (9) and Zoe (6), raced three days, totaling 45 races on two different tracks.
With the added pressures of close points and emotions associated with the end of the 2016 Canadian Snowcross Racing Association (CSRA) season, KSR racers had to work harder to enter the weekend with a positive mindset. In the end, their hard work and perseverance paid off with two National Championships won, along with a top-three position.
Now, as the 2017 season approaches, Brooklyn, Dakota and Zoe are more determined than ever to hold on to their championship titles and top points standings, while continuing to prove that girls can do anything they want to do!
