Thorold, Ontario – As you might know … Merrittville Speedway has been a Saturday Night Tradition for 7 decades. Over such a long period of time … who knows how many fans have had a favorite driver?

On SMS Machine Tools Night Saturday June 13th at Merrittville Speedway – you might see many of those favorites from back15060802b in the day up to today with many questions waiting to be answered!

Who has the oldest Driver T Shirt?
Which driver has the most fans in one of their shirts?
Who has the oldest 'Merrittville' T Shirt?
and maybe and most importantly ... Who can still fit into their Retro Race T Shirt?

The countdown has been building for three months and this Saturday is the night to wear your Retro Race T Shirt … whether it’s from a few seasons ago or a few decades!

“Hope everyone has enjoyed looking back at some of the T Shirts we’ve used in the Count Down … we sure have,” relates (Merrittville General Manager) Erica Bicknell-Jones, “it will be neat to see who shows up in what – and it will be neat to see how the retooled Duel on the Dirt Series unfolds as well.”

The on track action will be bolstered by the first Home Track Event for Team Merrittville of the retooled Duel on the Dirt Series for the Hoosier Stocks that in 2015 has Team Ohsweken and Team Humberstone joining the battle against the Pro Stocks from the Brighton Speedway.

Caistor Centre’s Jim Lampman won Humberstone Speedway’s first Home Track Event for the Sunday Night JC Auto Street Stocks back on Baron Roofing & Siding Night May 24th.

Brighton Speedway hosts it’s first home track event as well on June 13th while Ohsweken’s first goes on July 10th.

Merrittville Speedway’s 2nd Home Track Event is set for Monday August 1st when Tim Hortons Night also plays host to the 2nd round of the David Chevrolet King of the Crates Series for the Rick’s Delivery Sportsman.

Joining in June 13th are regular events for Lucas Oil Weekly Racing Series Divisions – the Pinty’s Delicious Foods 358 Modifieds, Rick’s Delivery Sportsman, Rev’s Full Throttle Powersports Modified Lites and the Van Raine Construction 4 Cylinders.
