Analyzing The Budweiser 300 At Autodrome Chaudiere

Daytona Beach, Florida – The NASCAR Canadian Tire Series presented by Mobil 1 will contest its milestone 100th all-time event with the Budweiser 300 Saturday at Autodrome Chaudiere in Vallee-Jonction, Quebec. Below is a statistical look at the performance of the series and selected drivers at the track:

Budweiser 300 Setup:
· The Budweiser 300 will be the first of seven oval events on the 2015 NASCAR Canadian Tire Series presented by Mobil 1 schedule, and one of just two in Quebec.
· Jason Hathaway is the defending winner of the Budweiser 300. He has won four of the series' last 10 oval events.
· Entrants in this race have combined to win 70% (44 of 63) of all oval events in series history: Mark Dilley (3), Hathaway (5), D.J. Kennington (16), Andrew Ranger (4) and Scott Steckly (16).
· Ontario drivers have won all seven previous oval races in Quebec: Hathaway (1), Kennington (1), Steckly (4) and Dave Whitlock (1).

100th Race Facts:
· The inaugural series race was held on May 26, 2007 at Ontario's Cayuga Motor Speedway.
· The series has visited 17 different tracks across six provinces.
· The first 99 races have featured 15 different winners among 148 competitors.

· This will be his 2015 debut. Kerry Micks piloted the No. 02 Ford in the opener at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park.
· All of his wins and poles have come on ovals, where he has 39 top 10s and an average finish of eighth in 61 starts.
· Led 60 laps and finished as the runner-up in the series' inaugural Autodrome Chaudiere event a year ago.

L.P. Dumoulin (No. 47 WeatherTech Canada/Bellemare Dodge)
· The 2014 NCATS Champion and 2011 Rookie of the Year has four wins, a pole, 18 top fives and 29 top 10s in 49 career starts.
· Has a win (2014 Auto Clearing Motor Speedway), 14 top 10s and an average finish of 10th in 25 career oval starts.

Jason Hathaway (No. 3 Fast Eddie/Brakeworks/HGC Chevrolet)
· Has five wins and 60 top 10s in 99 career starts. Is one of three drivers to compete in every race in NCATS history.
· All five of his wins have come on ovals, where he has posted 43 top 10s and an average finish of eighth in 63 starts.
· Led 177 laps en route to victory in 2014's inaugural NCATS event at Chaudiere.

D.J. Kennington (No. 17 Castrol Edge/Mahindra Tractors Dodge)
· The 2010 and 2012 NCATS champion. Maintains series record for career wins (tied-19), top fives (68) and top 10s (83), and is one of three drivers to start each of the 99 all-time events. Also ranks second in series history in laps led (2,754) and fifth in poles (10).
· Has a streak of 62-consecutive races without at DNF. Last DNF came at Riverside International Speedway in 2009.

· His 16 oval wins are tied with Scott Steckly for the most in NCATS history, and all 10 of his career poles have been earned on ovals. He has an average finish of sixth with 42 races led and 54 top 10s in 63 career oval events.
· Finished seventh at Chaudiere in 2014.

Gary Klutt (No. 59 CLT Corp./Legendary Motorcar Dodge)
· Has a win, a pole and four top 10s in seven career NCATS starts. Both the pole and win came in this year's season-opener at CTMP.
· Finished 22nd in his only previous oval start, the 2014 season finale at Kawartha Speedway.

Alex Labbe (No. 36 Lou's BBQ/Cathcart Trucking Dodge)
· Has a pole, a pair of top fives and four top 10s in nine career starts. The pole came at Autodrome St-Eustache and his best career finish was second at Riverside, both in 2014.
· Those events at Riverside and St-Eustache are his only previous NCATS oval starts.

Andrew Ranger (No. 27 Mopar/Pennzoil Dodge)
· The 2007 and 2009 champion is tied for the series' all-time wins lead (19) and ranks second in poles (15). Has 43 top fives and 61 top 10s in 73 career starts.
· Has four wins, 15 races led, 31 top 10s and an average finish of seventh in 41 career oval starts.
· Finished 12th last year at Chaudiere.

Scott Steckly (No. 22 Canadian Tire Dodge)
· Has a series-leading three championships (2008, '11, '13) through the first eight years of NCATS competition.
· Owner of 16 wins, 13 poles, 60 top fives and 73 top 10s. His top fives and top 10s totals rank second all-time while his wins and poles sit third in the record book. Is the all-time leader in laps led at 3,722 and is one of three drivers to start each of the 99 all-time events.
· All 16 of his wins have come on ovals, where he's posted 40 top fives, 47 top 10s, 43 races led and an average finish of sixth in 63 events.
· Finished fourth in the inaugural Chaudiere event.

Alex Tagliani (No. 18 EpiPen/CGI/CanTorque Chevrolet)
· Has a win, five poles and nine top 10s in 25 career NCATS starts.
· Has a pole, three top 10s, an average finish of 15th and a best result of fifth (2014 Auto Clearing) in 11 oval starts.
· Finished 14th after qualifying fourth in the inaugural Chaudiere event, his first start with 22 Racing.

Other Driver Notes
· Marc-Antoine Camirand finished 17th in his only previous NCATS oval start, the 2014 season finale at Kawartha.
· This will be J.F. Dumoulin's 21st career NCATS start, but his first on an oval track.
· The best finish of Matthew Scannell's 2014 Rookie of the Year season came on an oval with a finish of eighth at Kawartha.
· Erica Thiering made her NCATS debut last year at Chaudiere and finished 13th.
