Tied in the NASCAR Pinty's series driver standings

Fraserville, Ontario – The #47 WeatherTech Canada / Groupe Bellemare team has finished its season on a positive note and signed its sixth top-5 appearance to date. The last weekend of the 2016 season has not gone soft on the teams, as the race which was scheduled to occur yesterday (Saturday, September 17), has been pushed back due to heavy rain on the oval track of the Kawartha Speedway, Fraserville, Ontario. Starting in ninth, Louis-Philippe Dumoulin used patience and consistency to climb up the ranks up to second place, and managed to avoid the four incidents that punctuated the race.

"We're ending out season with a top-5 finish. The WeatherTech Canada / Groupe Bellemare car was fast for many laps, however the gear ratio wasn't perfectly tuned for the restarts. Tied in fourth for the championship is a satisfactory result for us, especially considering the rocky start to out season, and our first time doing car prep internally. This winter, the team will continue to tweak the adjustments to make sure we're back as strong as ever in 2017," explains the driver of the #47 WeatherTech Canada / Groupe Bellemare car.

Special mention: Congratulations to Cayden Lapcevich who just became the youngest driver in the history of NASCAR to win a championship. "Succession in this sport is important, and it's encouraging to see young drivers of this calibre participating in the most competitive series in Canada," shares Louis-Philippe Dumoulin.
