Brighton, Ontario – Brighton Speedway’s 2016 season is set to come to an official close this weekend with the track’s final event of the year. The ultra-popular Lange & Fetter Ford Eve of Destruction is set for Saturday, October 1 with plenty of events to entertain the entire family. The action gets underway at 1:00pm. Spectator gates will open at 11:00am. Adult admission is $15.

The Hotch’s Auto Parts 100-lap Enduro will be the core of the show. The popular event often sees dozens of cars lined up around the 1/3-mile clay oval. The always-entertaining Enduro race leaves immobilized cars on the racetrack and drivers racing around the stationary vehicles for the balance of the race.

The fan-favourite Workman’s OK Tire School Bus Races will also be sure to please a bustling crowd. The School Buses put on a thrilling race with three-wide action during their June race and are sure to impress this weekend as well.

The Brighton Recycling Demolition Derby will also see plenty of carnage with the last vehicle standing crowned the winner. The Gauntlet race is also sure to be highly entertaining. The Gauntlet pits is a Good Guys versus Bad Guys scenario with a group of cars tasked with stopping the Gauntlet driver from escaping with the checkered flag.

Add in to the mix the Flag Pole and Trailer races and you’ve got a crash-filled, action-packed night of excitement. The program will also feature Juniors and Ladies races. For additional event information, visit www.brightonspeedway.ca.
