Montreal, Quebec – The young stock car driver Alex Labbe is back behind the wheel in the no. 32 Can-Am/Kappa Ford for Go FAS Racing to contend its second NASCAR Pinty’s series Championship as a full-time driver in 2017.

“Alex’s progress in 2016 behind the wheel of our Ford Fusion Can-Am, Kappa, Cyclops Gear was outstanding considering it was his first full-time season. We are glad we could allow him to follow his dream among our organization in the last year. He will proudly wear the suit as a full-time driver in the NASCAR Pinty’s Series in 2017, fully equip to grab the championship title” said Alain Lord Mounir, owner of Go FAS Racing, Kappa’s clothes and Cyclops Gear’s camera.

The Chase For The Championship Starts This Weekend The rising star is heading to Ontario to kick off its 2017 season beginning with Sunday’s Can-Am 200, at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park in Bowmanville. The event will start on Saturday with practice sessions and qualifications to race on Sunday at 1 PM.

“In addition to the experience I gained last year, I got to drive in the Xfinity Series during the off season. Therefore, I was given the opportunity to race against the best drivers of the next generation of NASCAR. I am feeling confident and ready for this” For Alex Labbe, it’s a priceless occasion to get noticed on the track as he will be defending his pole position from last year’s first event. The young driver had the lead with 4 laps to go when a rain shower mixed with oil obstructed his vision and forced him to slow down to finish 5th.

“Bowmanville must be one of my favorite tracks on the circuit,” said the 23-year- old driver. “We had a good chance last year, but we are on a new level this year. I am grateful to Can-Am, Kappa and Cyclops Gear for being back supporting us. We gathered really good people to work on the team and I will do everything that is in my power to earn the NASCAR Pinty’s Series Championship title in 2017 starting with hopefully a win this weekend.”

All Can-Am, Kappa and Cyclops Gear have been supporting Alex Labbe in the NASCAR Pinty’s season with Go FAS Racing in 2016. Labbe has finished seventh in the championship standing with a first win at the Autodrome Chaudière, four pole positions in qualifications, six top-5 and eight top-10 in 12 starts.
