Trois-Rivières, Quebec – Albatec Racing has secured support from Canadian food giant St-Hubert for tomorrow's round seven of the FIA World Rallycross Championship presented by Monster Energy. St-Hubert will back the fledgling rallycross team comprising Team Principal Andy Scott and former F1 World Champion Jacques Villeneuve in a pair of 600bhp two-litre, 16v Peugeot 208 Supercars for the event, which takes place around a purpose-built rallycross track.

Announced on the eve of the race which pitches six permanent two-car teams, and wildcar entries head-to-head, the announcement confirms the Dumfries-based team's position among the championship elite and adds credence to the thriving team as it battles against manufacturer-backed outfits in the only FIA-sanctioned rallycross series.

Founded in 1951 in St-Hubert Street in Montreal the restaurant's tradition is rooted in innovation. Offering free home delivery service and an avant-garde approach to advertising using radio and TV commercials to attract people to the restaurant, the Hélène and René Léger-founded St-Hubert eatery is now at the forefront of the Quebec restaurant industry.

The Albatec Racing team, located in Lochfoot, Scotland, has been consistently among the front runners in 2014, with the #26 MacDuff-backed 208 of 2011 MSA British Rallycross Vice-Champion Andy regularly qualifying for the semi-finals. While rallycross debutant Jacques, at the wheel of the #25 Cyclops Gear-supported car has greatly improved during the opening half of the season, and heads into the second confident ahead of an event which favours his vast circuit-racing experience, that also netted him the Indycar World Series crown.

Friday's World RX event moves away from its traditional two-day format, with a two-hour practice session at 12.00, with four qualifying heats, on the hour, starting at 15.00. The semi finals start at 20.30 followed by the all-important Final at approximately 21.00. Live timing and additional event information is available at www.rallycrossrx.com

Andy Scott, Team Principal, Albatec Racing:
"I am delighted to welcome St-Hubert aboard as a supporter for arguably the biggest event on the calendar for Albatec Racing. Aside from our own home event in Lydden Hill, the event here in Canada marks a huge weekend for Jacques and I'm very happy to be a part of the prestige event alongside one of the oldest, longest-running companies in Quebec."

"Hopefully we can give the home fans something to really shout about this weekend, as we bid to put our rallycross knowledge, and the experience of both Jacques and myself to the best possible use and really kick-start our championship campaign."
