January 23 / BMW Performance 200 Race Results (UNOFFICIAL) 

Proving that fate is indeed a fickle b**ch and the race is definitely not over until the checkered flag flies, the BMW Performance 200 at Daytona International Speedway came right down to the wire with skies threatening to bring rain (it did just a little) and cars running on fumes in the closing laps. There were plenty of lead changes in both GS and ST classes at at one point, it looked like the race belonged to Multimatic Motorsports' Mustangs or maybe event to Max Riddle's Aston Martin. The Mantella Autosport Camaros had their share of problems but did fight back while Compass 360 Racing had a less than stellar day Ken Wilden ended the day with his Aston Martin in pit lane. And in ST, while it was seemingly the perfect race for Porsche Caymans, Vancouver's Adam Isman had victory literally evaporate away as he faded from the class lead in the closing laps to run out of fuel and finish tenth.

In the end though - no matter who won, Contiental Tire Sports Car Challenge has once again proved to be some of the most exciting racing to watch with close competitiuon, plenty of lead changes and a ton of excitement on and off the track. 

Congratulations to the race winners and those on the podium - and for the rest of the teams and drivers ... Sebring is only six weeks away!
