Toronto, Ontario – Just two weeks after a dramatic but successful weekend at Watkin’s Glen with wins in all three classes, Mark Motors Racing heads to Ontario’s capital for another Ultra 94 Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge by Yokohama.

Looking to defend his newly earned top spot in Platinum, driver Zach Robichon is ready to show this big city what he is made of. “We’re going from one of the smoothest tracks in North America to one of the bumpiest” said Robichon. “The Downtown Toronto street course is definitely a challenge like no other in the season and we will be looking to keep our momentum following our win at the Glen. We are really starting to understand these new 2017 cars and will be looking to exploit that once again this weekend and keep fighting at the front of the pack!”

Driver Marco Cirone who is from Toronto is looking forward to racing in front of his friends and family this coming weekend. Racking up Platinum Masters wins at each race this season, Cirone looks to continue his winning streak at the Honda Indy. “It's so amazing to be back at the streets of Toronto” said Cirone. “Our team is fresh off a great weekend at Watkins Glen and our confidence is in full steam ahead as we expect nothing but the same results as in Watkin’s Glen. Racing in front of family, friends, and the home town will be fantastic! Can't wait to get started!”

Quickly making a name for himself on the Mark Motors Racing team is 16-year-old Roman De Angelis, who has caught the eye of many with his skillful driving and 5 consecutive wins this season in Gold. This weekend will be the first time De Angelis will race on the streets of Toronto. “I’m looking forward to this type of track, street circuits have always been fun for me” said De Angelis. “I think this track will help close the gap with the platinum cars since it is much shorter and compact versus permanent tracks. I’m looking forward to see how we fit in the mix.”

The Ultra 94 Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Canada by Yokohama will race twice during this weekend, on the streets of Toronto, Ontario. Race 1 will start at 5:20 PM EST Saturday, July 15th and Race 2 will start precisely at 1:40 PM EST on Sunday, July 16th. Both can be viewed live via streaming on imsa.com
