For DY Racing, the Velocity 250 ended up being a tail of two tapes as Eric Yorke posted a top-10 finish while Lisa DeLeeuw just missed making the main show.

The weekend started off by Yorke finishing second in his first heat, while DeLeeuw finished 11thin her heat. The second round of qualifying saw Yorke finish third with DeLeeuw finishing eighth.

With their finishes, Yorke was automatically able to transfer to the main event, while DeLeeuw had to run the b-main. While she ran throughout the 10-lap affair, she unfortunately came up short – finishing sixth to be the driver to not qualify.

Come feature time, Yorke started the 35-lap event from the seventh position. He quickly was set on making up ground, though fell back to the eighth spot at Lap 12. He was able to gain it back, passing Billy Schwartzenburg for seventh before the first caution flew at Lap 15.

Restarting seventh, he continued to run there till he was able to get alongside the 37 at Lap 20, taking the sixth spot a lap later. He continued to run there for the rest of the feature, crossing the finish line in sixth.

Yorke thanks his sponsors Can-Alignment Motorsports, Milton Napa Auto Parts, J&D Tire, Solex Steel, McKeown Collision, Partimer Signs, Ancaster Embroidery, Country Girl Designs, Cabral Racing Promotions and Skytec Rentals for their support.

DeLeeuw thanks her sponsors Partimer Sign, Gelderman Landscape Services, Royal Synergies Collision, Skytech Rentals, Solex Steel, Safeway Towing, BDS Enterprises, Can-Alignment, Auto Clinic, Scentsy Independent Consultant, Real Burger Company, Cabral Racing Promotions and Country Girl Design for their continued support.
