JL Motorsports is proud to announce Coons Contracting will be sponsoring Jordan Latimer’s Autumn Colours Classic effort at Peterborough Speedway.

While he spent the season behind the wheel of a late model, Latimer will be behind the wheel of Ken Semkin’s No. 5 Super Stock at the Classic. Latimer will be competing in the APC Young Guns Showcase and the Autumn Colours Classic 50-lap Super Stock feature on Sunday.

The race weekend – October 7 to 9 – features three jam-packed days of racing at Peterborough Speedway. Latimer will practice throughout Friday, October 7 before his round of qualifying action for the Autumn Colours Classic (ACC) and the APC Young Guns Showcase. He will return to the track on Saturday, October 8 for the second day of ACC qualifying, followed by the 50-lap feature on Sunday, October 9.

Latimer ran the No. 5 Super Stock at Sunset Speedway’s Velocity 250, finishing sixth and seventh in his pair of heats. Unfortunately, he was taken out in a first lap feature wreck.

The team is proud to get back to their Super Stock roots after picking up a couple victories while racing at Barrie Speedway before Latimer made his Late Model debut in 2015 at Sunset Speedway. This past season in his sophomore season of competition, he put together some solid runs against the top drivers in the province, posting three top-10 finishes.
