Round two of the Flat Track Canada series presented by Parts Canada will take place this Saturday June 8th at Welland County Speedway. Known for its tightly packed, bar to bar action, the clay surface in Welland never disappoints.

Reigning Open Expert Champion Dustin Brown has already thrown down the gauntlet in 2019. After finishing second in both heat races at the season opener, Brown stepped it up a notch in the finals and took the victory in both the Open Expert and DTX races on his KBR Honda. Brown, who has a shelf full of victories and track championships at Welland, has to be considered among the favourites for the win in round two. Other riders to watch on Saturday include local heroes Chris Evans and Tyler Seguin who engaged in a 15 lap battle for the ages in Welland last year. When the dust had settled after multiple lead changes, it was the veteran Evans taking a slim victory over Seguin to the delight of the roaring crowd.

While not expected to participate in the full series, 2015 National Champion Doug Lawrence will be racing at Welland and is always a factor at the quarter mile short track. If multi-time Canadian Champion Don Taylor makes an appearance you can expect him to be running at the front as well. Rookie Expert Hunter Bauer had a spectacular showing in Quebec and will no doubt have his share of fans cheering for him on Saturday when he does battle on a short track for the first time as an Expert.
Heat races start at 5:00 on Saturday. Admission is only $12 for adults with students and seniors only $10. Kids 10 and under are free.
