After the last Einstein Construction Group Canada Tour Event at Autodrome Granby, Sunbury PA racer Mark Smith leads Matt Tanner, Jeff Cooke, Alain Bergeron and Jason Barney in the mini-series while defending and 5 time Overall Champion Steve Poirer leads the points.

Einstein Construction Group is new to the ESS Canada Tour and for many seasons has supported Sprint Car Drivers Tommy Wickham and Paulie Colagiovanni.

The annual Gary Cunningham Memorial featuring the Lucas Oil Empire Super Sprints is a memorial established by his son Travis and the family as Travis grew up with his dad sharing a love of racing through the Go-Karts ranks up to the 358 Modifieds and Sprint Cars.

"My dad was everything to me in my racing career," said Travis remembering his dad, "we had so much fun together.”

Gary Cunningham, a former drag racer and engine builder, died in December 2010, at the age of 61, after a six-month battle with cancer. Cunningham was one of the best engine-builders around, and when it came to camshafts, Gary was the best man in the country.
