Thorold, Ontario – Merrittville Speedway’s first rain out of 2015 has made a BIG Event even BIGGER! If you love trucks and Piller’s Hot Dogs – you will love July 4th!

Modern Corporation’s 10th Annual Trucker Show ‘N Shine Night at the Thorold DIRTcar sanctioned oval will fill the grandstand area with trucks of all kinds before they take to the track for the annual Show and Shine Competition that is voted on by the fans.

Unfortunately the main event of Cotton Inc’s June 27th Event … the Lucas Oil Empire Super Sprints can’t be rescheduled in 2015. The Ballhockey.com Enduro Qualifier accelerated by Niagara College has been rescheduled for Saturday July 18th’s Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia Awareness Night that already features the 2nd round of the Triple Crown Series for the Van Raine Construction 4 Cylinder Division.

The 6th Annual Bob St. Amand Memorial Big Block Super DIRTcar Series Main Event set for Monday August 3rd will end in spectacular fashion with an exciting Fireworks Display presented by Firemaster Productions originally scheduled for June 27th

“We’re as disappointed as our fans that we can’t reschedule the ESS Einstein Construction Canada Tour Event,” said (Merrittville Speedway GM) Erica Bicknell-Jones, “Sprint Car Fans however can look forward to Friday September 11th when the Southern Ontario Sprints pay a visit. With our first rain-out cancelliing Cotton’s night … anyone hungry for racing will not want to miss this Saturday Night!”

Peterbilt … Kenworth … Freightliner … Mack … Sterling … International … Western Star – you’ve got to have a favorite! Or maybe it’s the paint and the chrome … or just a cool horn!

“It always makes for an awesome night,” relates Bicknell-Jones, “some of the finest looking trucks will be on display … you’ve got to salute them - they can work during the week in some of the worst conditions … but they take pride in keeping them looking so good … especially when they come to the track.”

Modern Corporation’s Night will feature all 5 Lucas Oil Weekly Racing Series Divisions – the Pinty’s Delicious Foods 358 Modifieds, Rick’s Delivery Sportsman, Hoosier Stocks, Rev’s Full Throttle Powersports Modified Lites and Rev’s Full Throttle Powersports 4 Cylinders.

When the Great Clips Grandstand Ticket Office open at 5:30 – All Truckers with either an AZ or DZ License are eligible for a $2 discount on Grandstand Admission. Showtime is at 7 PM.
