Trois-Rivières, Québec – A determined driver will head out tomorrow to Western Canada. The upcoming two events are synonymous with success for Louis-Philippe Dumoulin who climbed the podium twice last year, including one victory, behind the wheel of the #47 WeatherTech Canada / Group Bellemare. In fourth place in the NASCAR Canadian Tire series’ general standings, the whole team is ready to perform once again on the oval tracks of the Edmonton International Raceway on Saturday, July 11th and at the Auto Clearing Motor Speedway the following Wednesday, July 15.

2014 Season

Last year, the Edmonton race (Alberta Has Energy 300) was intense for drivers of the NASCAR Canadian Tire series. Punctuated with twelve cautions (including two on red flags), the challenge was immense and the #47 WeatherTech Canada / Group Bellemare team was able to overcome it with great success by finishing with a podium appearance (2nd place). The force and synergy generated by Mario Gosselin, crew chief (King Autosport), was then showcased through the very first victory on oval track by the #47 WeatherTech Canada / Group Bellemare team, all on the track of the Auto Clearing Motor Speedway (Velocity Prairie Thunder 250, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan).

The goals for 2015

“The ultimate goal is to win. Managing to do better than last year in Western Canada would be extremely good. We have three races on oval track before the Grand Prix de Trois-Rivières, and the goal is to go back home with the best possible spot in the championship rankings, so we’re all working hard in this direction and we are confident that we can do just that,” shares the determined driver of the #47 WeatherTech Canada/ Group Bellemare.

* The race will be broadcast on TSN on July 18 at 2:30 p.m. and on July 31at 8 p.m on RDS2.

Louis-Philippe and Jean-François Dumoulin will participate in an autograph session organized by their partner, the Delta Bessborough on July 14 from 4:30 to 5:30 PM. The 2014 NASCAR Canadian Tire series champion’s trailer and #47 WeatherTech Canada/ Group Bellemare car will also be present.

Racing fans are encouraged to come meet the drivers and take pictures (in front of the Delta Bessborough’s main entrance). A cocktail with drivers will also take place at the Metric Garden Lounge @ The Bess in the hotel between 5:30 and 7:30 PM. Martin Gilbert, general manager, will offer a free drink to each person attending the autograph session.
