Wetaskiwin, Alberta – For the second year in a row on the oval track of the Edmonton International Raceway, Louis-Philippe Dumoulin has crossed the finish line in second place yesterday. In a race punctuated with ten neutralizations, including a red flag, the driver of the Dodge #47 WeatherTech Canada/ Bellemare in collaboration with crew chief Mario Gosselin, King Autosport, has been able to defend his place among the leaders with great agility and combativeness throughout the race (300 laps).

The practices sessions have allowed the #47 WeatherTech Canada/ Bellemare team to make some efficient adjustments, thus positioning the car in fourth place on the starting grid. The fifth event of the season gave way to an action packed spectacle. The multiple restarts have forced Louis-Philippe Dumoulin to persevere in order to execute on strategic overtakes and to impose himself among his adversaries. Furthermore, he was declared winner of ther Dodge-Mopar quick three for his speed on the track.

"We are very happy to once again be on the podium in Edmonton. This morning, we've tried different adjustments and in the end, we've opted for more standard settings. The boys at King Autosport and Mario Gosselin [crew chief] have worked really hard so that the Dodge #47 WeatherTech Canada/ Bellemare car would be reliable. During the race, exemplary team work and synergy took place. In the pits, the adjustments that were made have really helped for the second part of the race. The podium feels good. It's very important to continue to rack up points in the championship," explains Louis-Philippe Dumoulin, the only Quebecer to have climbed the podium in this race.

Sixth event of the season: Velocity Prairie Thunder 250

The second and last stop in Western Canada will occur on Wednesday, July 15 on the track of the Auto Clearing Motor Speedway (Saskatoon, Sask.). On a track known as fast track with a steep tilt, the 2014 champion of the NASCAR Canadian Tire series had won his first race on oval track on it last year. Mario Gosselin, crew chief, King Autosport, and the whole Dodge #47 WeatherTech Canada/ Bellemare team wish to once again perform in line with the expectations of their major partners.

Louis-Philippe and Jean-François Dumoulin will participate in an autograph session organized by their partner, the Delta Bessborough on July 14 from 4:30 to 5:30 PM. The 2014 NASCAR Canadian Tire series champion’s trailer and #47 WeatherTech Canada/ Group Bellemare car will also be present.

Racing fans are encouraged to come meet the drivers and take pictures (in front of the Delta Bessborough’s main entrance). A cocktail with drivers will also take place at the Metric Garden Lounge @ The Bess in the hotel between 5:30 and 7:30 PM. Martin Gilbert, general manager, will offer a free drink to each person attending the autograph session.
