Wetaskiwin, Alberta – Behind the wheel of the #04 Dodge Bernier Crépeau / Group Bellemare/ MIA, Jean-François Dumoulin was able to race skillfully yesterday, on the oval track of the Edmonton International Raceway, Wetaskiwin, Alberta. This event, which was punctuated with multiple neutralizations, has confronted the elder Dumoulin brother to multiple restarts. Being always positioned on the outer edge of the track, this greatly complicated overtakes. Jean-François Dumoulin maintains his seventh place in the general rankings.

“The #04 Dodge Bernier Crépeau / Group Bellemare/ MIA car was fast and we had great battles during the race. It was a new track for me, and I managed to avoid multiple incidents that took place ahead of me. However, the outer-edge restarts didn’t allow me to perform as many overtakes as I would’ve liked. We lost a lap on the leader and I only obtained the lucky dog during the last restart. We got eleventh place, which allows us to keep our points in the championship,” explains Jean-François Dumoulin.

Sixth event of the season: Velocity Prairie Thunder 250

The second and last stop in Western Canada will occur on Wednesday, July 15 on the track of the Auto Clearing Motor Speedway (Saskatoon, Sask.). It’ll be another occasion for Jean-François Dumoulin to polish up his technique on this type of circuit. “With the experience acquired in Edmonton, there are certain elements we will improve. I really can’t wait to be there,” shares the driver of the Dodge #04 Bernier Crépeau/ Group Bellemare/ MIA.
