Stroud, Ontario – Jason Keen (No.18 Oakville Auto & Diesel) took the lead from Steve Trendell (No. 57 Combined Auto & Truck Repair) on lap 18 of the 25-lap feature and cruised to the checkered flag for his second win of the season at Sunset Speedway on Saturday, July 19.

Eleven cars signed in for round six of the Lucas Oil Canadian Vintage Modified 2015 season at the high-banked 1/3-mile oval. Cassidy March (No.25 H&M Auto) and Dustin Hood (No.38 Doug's Suspension) brought the field to green.

March used the front row starting position to take an early lead. The driver of the No.25 1938 Ford Coupe led the opening 10 circuits until Hood brought out the yellow flag after laying oil around the race track, leading to a lengthy clean-up.

Ben Charbonneau (No.2 Steve Scherer Chevrolet) assumed the point on the ensuing restart with Trendell and Keen in tow. Charbonneau kept the No.57 and No.18 in-check until lap 15 when Trendell used the top lane to take over the first position.

Keen, however, had other ideas and powered underneath Trendell for the lead three laps later and never relinquished the top spot on route to the victory.

In heat race action, Charbonneau claimed the heat one victory, narrowly edging Trendell by less than one car length at the finish line. Keen won his heat over Jeremy Riopelle (No.88 Young Drivers Canada).

The Lucas Oil Canadian Vintage Modified Series faces a short six-day turnaround with a date set at Delaware Speedway in Komoka, Ont. on Friday, July 24.
