Caistor Centre, Ontario – The Team Turner Racing Sprint Car drivers all finished in the top 10 at Ohsweken Speedway last Friday. Now they're set to return to Ohsweken for races on Friday, Monday, and Tuesday!

JULY 17 - OHSWEKEN

Friday's "Brock Leonard Memorial Night" at Ohsweken Speedway brought back fond memories for Team Turner, as Ryan was the 2013 winner of the Brock Leonard Memorial 50 when he was competing in the Thunder Stock division.

Ryan has since moved to the 360 Sprint Car division along with brother Cory, and father Jamie, and were ready for action at Ohsweken. Wet weather earlier in the day, and a brief shower after hot laps gave way to sunshine as the Sprint Car heat races hit the track.

"I started pole in my heat race and finished 2nd on one of the fastest tracks that we had seen all year," Cory said. "I was pretty happy with the car, considering our lap times were a half a second faster than they had been all year.

"My dad started on the front row of his heat and finished 5th. He had the car a little too tight for how much moisture was in the track.

"My brother started 4th and finished 4th in his heat, holding off some fast cars behind him! It was the first time he has been able to make the feature redraw all year, so that is a huge feather in his cap!"

Ryan drew a starting spot outside the front row for the 20 lap feature, while Cory started right behind him in 4th, and Jamie started 12th.

"The track was the 'fastest' feature track we had seen all year, with how much moisture was still in the track!" Cory said. "I had a solid 4th place run going about halfway through when I got over the cushion in turns 3 and 4 and had to turn straight right to keep the car rubber side down...I gathered it back up after losing a couple of positions and was able to stay in that position for the rest of the race and finish 6th.

"My brother was able to finish in the 10th position, garnering his first top 10 run of the season at Ohsweken!

"My dad was able to make forward progress after starting 12th, and passed my brother with a few laps to go to finish 9th."

The team is excited to meet their fans this Friday in the first of two scheduled Autograph Nights this season at Ohsweken. They're also set to race in the Northern Summer Nationals at Ohsweken on Monday, and against the invading World of Outlaws Sprint Car series teams in the Six Nations Showdown on Tuesday.
