Trois-Rivières, Québec – Behind the wheel of the #04 Dodge Bernier Crépeau / Bellemare/ MIA, Jean-François Dumoulin will take part in the seventh event of the season which will occur this Saturday July 25 on the oval track of Autodrome St-Eustache. This event is part of the six races that were confirmed for him before the beginning of the 2015 season. In seventh place in the standings, Jean-François Dumoulin will be on this track for the first time in the NASCAR Canadian Tire series. However, it’s a circuit he is familiar with, having competed on it in the past.
This race is of particular importance to Jean-François Dumoulin, as the owner of the #04 Bernier Crépeau / Bellemare/ MIA cars, Éric Kerub, Motorsports In Action, will be present at Autodrome St-Eustache.
“It’s in our back yard,” mentions JF Dumoulin.
“It’s a really nice event. Éric Kerub, a friend I’ve been professionally collaborating with in the world of racing for a long time, will be present, as well as many partners, family members, and friends. There will be a lot of pressure for us to perform, and it’s always been a beneficial thing for us. The two events, in St-Eustache and Trois-Rivières, are really important to me, so it will be a really busy two weeks adding to an action-packed beginning to the season.”
Half-season 2015
The driver of the Dodge #04 Bernier Crépeau / Bellemare / MIA is more than grateful for his partners who have granted him the ability to participate in all races since the beginning of the season. Jean-François Dumoulin is showing that he has the talent to fight alongside veterans. To date, Jean-François Dumoulin has one podium appearance (3rd place), two top 5s, and one top 10. The road circuit specialist is gaining a lot of experience on oval tracks and is quickly developing a technique with the useful advice of his crew chief, Éric Laperle.
“I’m really happy to go to St-Eustache, it’s one of the three oval tracks that we had planned in the calendar this year. I’m especially happy to have gained experience on this type of track in advance of the event at the Autodrome. It’s going increasingly well on oval track, and I’m always patient at the beginning of each race in order to be present throughout. This will also be my strategy in St-Eustache, it’s a very demanding track where it’s difficult to perform overtakes, and it’s important to improve our starting place in the qualifying. We’ve discussed adjustments with Éric Laperle [crew chief]; the car had good performance in 2014 and we’ll push in that direction,” shares the driver of the #04 Dodge Bernier Crépeau / Bellemare / MIA.

Stay tuned!
* The race will be broadcast on TSN on August 1st at 6:30 p.m. and on August 15 at 2:30 p.m. on RDS2.
