TUSA Mod Lite West Series Event in store

Thorold, Ontario – Do you remember glass milk bottles … and horse and wagon delivery?

Merrittville Speedway will help Avondale Food Stores celebrate it’s 50th year in operation Saturday August 15th with a Lucas Oil Weekly Racing Series Event that will feature the second TUSA West Series Event for the Rev’s Full Throttle Powersports Modified Lite Division.

Before the Big Dogs take to the track for Feature Events for all 5 Divisions - Big Dogs … Little Dogs and all breeds in between have their own time in front of the crowd.

Race Fans and Race Teams alike are encouraged to bring along their dogs for the annual Best Appearing Dog Contest presented by Vansickle Pet Valu.

“For many of us in the stands and in the pits,” relays (Merrittville GM) Erica Bicknell-Jones, “racing is a family sport … and that family includes a dog … it’s their night to join in the fun and not be left home.”

Race Fans will be given the chance to vote on their favorites – the winner is the dog that gets the most cheers.

Josh Sliter won the first TUSA West Series Event back on June 20th’s Ontario Truck Driving School Night – his 5th of 7 wins at Merrittville to date – with his latest coming in this past Saturday’s Niagara Employment Help Centre Night.

The weekend will be a busy one with Series Events Friday Night at Ohsweken and Sunday at Humberstone as well.

In addition to the Modified Lite Special … Avondale Food Stores Night features the Pinty’s Delicious Foods 358 Modifieds, Rick’s Delivery Sportsman, Hoosier Stocks and the Van Raine Construction 4 Cylinders with their point races heating up as the Championship Chase winds down.
