Thorold, Ontario – “It’s been a pleasure for us to host the Enduro Qualifiers this season,” said Ballhockey.com’s Tom Roberts who is a lifetime race fan, “like the Speedway itself our facilities and programs are all about fun times and great experiences – we can’t wait until the 100.”
If you would like to race hard and get dirty – there is still time to get your car ready for Sunday September 13th’s 100 lap Ballhockey.com Enduro accelerated by Niagara College.
“It’s pretty basic,” adds (Merrittville Speedway GM) Erica Bicknell-Jones, “ it’s a street car with safety modifications – everything else is stock as you found it … an Enduro car is not a race car – it’s a car that races.” There is plenty of time for you to put your Enduro Car together … maybe it’s time to lay a summer time beating down on your winter beater … someone you know may have a wreck they want to get rid of or check out your closest automotive recycler … the classifieds … Kijiji or anywhere you can to get yourself a ride.
The Ballhockey.com 100 lap Enduro accelerated by Niagara College will blow your mind with a high octane blast of hard turns and twisted metal. Enduro Racing is part SCIENCE, part STUNT, part INFO-TAINMENT and always 100% ADRENALINE and OUTRAGEOUS FUN.
Now’s the time to push up your sleeves … get your hands dirty as cars will be jacked up, busted apart and pushed to their limits and beyond. You’ll crash, skid, swerve, slam, and demolish your way through the 100 lap Smash-o-rama Main Event … Sunday September 13th!
Starting with the Zavitz Financial Strategies & ZFS Benefit Solutions Friends of Brian Stevens Memorial Event May 18th, John Burt won. Benjamin Hage won the rain delayed Cotton Inc. Piller’s $1.00 Hot Dog Night Qualifier run as part of Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia Awareness Night July 18th. Hage also won the recent St. Amand Auto & Truck Repair and L. St. Amand Enterprises Bob St. Amand Senior Qualifier accelerated by Niagara College – James Mercer finished second and will start the 100 from third. Either of these three drivers will all be eligible for a $500 Bonus – provided that either one comes home # 1 in the 100.
“Niagara College continues to be # 1 in student satisfaction,” said Bicknell-Jones, “and we are thrilled they continue to accelerate our Enduros.” Should none of the three drivers win the event the $500 will still be given away via a draw of starting positions.
“Preregistering can have it’s benefits,” reminds Bicknell-Jones, “anyone that enters the 100 by September 1st – will be eligible for a chance at one of 10 $50 bonuses if it’s given away that way and drivers are reminded that their Roof Fins will be available from the Speedway Office after September 1st as well.” And that’s what happened last season – 10 drivers that registered before the deadline were awarded $50 each through a post race draw.
Returning this season are the Friday Night Qualifying Heats that will set the starting order Sunday behind the three drivers. Drivers that do not run a qualifying heat that are preregistered will line up behind those that do and any later registrations will fill out the field.
If you would like to play hard and get dirty – the Ballhockey.com Athletic Centre is the one and only place to play that has it all – the Niagara Ball Hockey Club … BAC Beach Volleyball … BAC Tennis and BAC Squash in addition to the Hamilton Indoor Ball Hockey Club ,,, the new Hamilton Dodge Ball and Hamilton South Ball Hockey.
