St. Thomas, Ontario - Coming off a 7th place finish in the 2015 NASCAR Canadian Tire Series season point standings, two-time champion DJ Kennington and team are gearing up for a race in the Copper State. "It's been a year since we've been there," says the St. Thomas, Ontario driver, "I'm really pumped for this race."

Kennington competes in the NASCAR K&N Series Casino Arizona 100 at Phoenix International Raceway on November 12th. The K&N race kicks of four consecutive days of action at PIR which also features the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series on November 13th, NASCAR XFinity Series (November 14th) and the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (November 15th).

"We don't run this Series [K&N] full-time," says Kennington, "it's nice to have the opportunity to run south of the border. My crew is sure looking forward to this race." Kennington will once again pilot the Northern Provincial Pipelines #81 Dodge in Arizona. "Big thanks to Dwight [Kennedy] again for this opportunity. Without him this wouldn't be happening."

Kennington will be driving a car prepared at the Bill McAnally Race shop in Roseville, California. "We're driving a car that's seen a lot of upgrades. It has cost a bit of money but we needed to upgrade the car to be more competitive." Kennington drove to a 7th place finish at last year's NASCAR K&N Series race at Phoenix International Raceway. Northern Provincial Pipelines Ltd., based in Edson, Alberta, is the title sponsor of the NPP Late Model Series which brings big league racing to motorsports fans in Western Canada from May - September.
