Thorold, Ontario – The final blast of Winter that has left Niagara snow covered has postponed Saturday April 9th’s BRP Chassis Seminar and Pete Bicknell Driving School at Merrittville Speedway until Saturday April 16th.

“Over the years we have dealt with some snow in the air on School Day but snow on the ground … that’s a different story,” said (Bicknell Racing Products’) Randy Williamson, instructor, “we have one of our largest enrolments … hopefully Spring weather will return and everyone is available for the new date.”

The combination of the Driving School and the Test and Tune Day will see each event retain their schedules with the exception of the Pit Area Opening Times. Inspections of Test and Tune Cars will start at 12 PM in the Speedway Parking Lot. The Pit Area will remain closed all afternoon for the School until 5 PM. On Track Sessions for all will begin at 6:00 PM.

While the evening session is intended for the Thorold facility’s Lucas Oil Weekly Racing Series Divisions – the Pinty’s Delicious Foods 358 Modifieds, Yager Bros Trucking Sportsman, Hoosier Stocks, Rev’s Full Throttle Powersports Modified Lites and the Van Raine Construction 4 Cylinders – Drivers from other classes are expected to take to the track including trucks looking to compete in the all new Triple Truck Challenge presented by Eataly Foods and Tomaski Racing, RUSH Late Models, and local Sprint Car Teams looking to prepare for visits of the Patriot Sprint Tour, Lucas Oil Empire Super Sprints and the Southern Ontario Sprints.

Lucas Oil Weekly Racing Series Teams can view and pre-print their respective Inspection Sheets at http://www.merrittvillespeedway.com/rules.html Race Teams must fill out each area on the sheets and bring them to Test and Tune Night.
