Brighton, Ontario – Brighton Speedway is excited for the return of Monster Trucks for the Adecco Monster Truck Summer Smash presented by Owasco RV on Saturday, July 23. The show will feature two monster trucks and two mini monster trucks. The Vanderlaan Building Products Pro Late Models, Bainer’s OilGARD Canadian Modifieds, Brighton Automotive Pro Stocks, Bill’s Johns Comp 4s and Quinte Septic Stingers are all on the schedule as well for a full night of racing. Adult admission is $15 and a Family Pass (valid for two adults and up to four children 12 and under) is $40. Gates open at 5:00pm before racing begins at 7:00pm.

Canadian monster trucks Anger Management and Temperature Rising will be in attendance along with mini monster trucks16071804b Fire Starter and High Octane. The 1500 horsepower Monster Trucks compete on massive 66” tires and will destroy several Brighton Recycling scrap cars. The massive trucks are sure to thrill fans of all ages with their jumps, powerful engines and stunts all around speedway.

The Vanderlaan Building Products Pro Late Models have a new face at the top of the standings. Phil Potts sits tied for the points lead with Trenton’s Charlie Sandercock after his third-win of the season. Brandon Mowat sits 50 points back in third and ahead of Adam Turner and Kyle Sopaz, who complete the top-five in the standings.

Andrew Hennessy maintained the point lead in the Bainer’s OilGARD Canadian Modified division with his fifth-place finish last Saturday night. The lead was reduced, however, with Dan Ferguson earning a victory and Kraig Handley claiming a second-place finish. Handley sits second in the standings, 10 points ahead of Ferguson. Derrick Greig and Josh Hennessy complete the top-five.

Wade Purchase closed the gap in the Brighton Automotive Pro Stock standings, but Justin Ramsay still sits at the top with a 145-point advantage over Purchase. Doug Anderson, Brandon Murrell and Jonah Mutton occupy the top-five spots in the current standings.

The Bill’s Johns Comp 4s will run the final leg of the ABC Taxi Triple Crown. If their 20-lap event rivals the racing from this past Saturday night’s showdown, it surely won’t disappoint. Point leader Tyler French turned in a third-place finish last night. Adam Flieler’s second-place finish vaulted him to third in the standings behind Josh Read, but ahead of Matthew Moore and Peter Moore. French will look to sweep the Triple Crown series after winning the first two rounds on May 14 and June 4.

The Quinte Septic Stingers also return to action after their week off. Rick Phillips holds a slim five-point lead over Chris Lammle in the Super Stinger division. Meanwhile, Chantel Golden holds a 65-point advantage over James Turgeon.
