Thorold, Ontario – A Night at the races is just 2 Cool a way to spend a Saturday Night!
Especially Saturday June 30th when 2 Cool Automotive presents Merrittville Speedway’s Canada Day Celebration!
If you’re hungry for some excitement - the last Bobcat of Hamilton Weekly Racing Series Event of June will feature the S&W Service Centre 358 Modifieds, David Chevrolet Sportsman, Hoosier Stocks, Vansickle Pet Valu & Groomingdale’s Mod Lites, Central Fabricating & Welding 4 Cylinders and the Dave’s Auto & Speed Centre V6 Division plus Fireworks!
If you’re hungry to get involved in the sport … the second Vansickle Pet Valu & Groomingdale’s Enduro by Niagara College will be the final race of the night. There’s plenty of time to put an entry together and take part. To download the rules click on http://www.merrittvillespeedway.com/rules.html
If you’re just plain hungry … it’s also $1 Hot Dog Night and special Canada Day Cupcakes while they last!
“There’s something on the menu for everyone,” said (Merrittville Owner) Don Spiece, adding “whether it’s our Weekly Divisions … the Enduro Qualifier or maybe it’s just the deal on Hot Dogs – it’s definitely an event not to miss.”
The day begins with the first Merrittville Market from 8 AM to 1 PM. Whether it’s a craft, yard sale item or fresh fruit and vegetables or anything else … Vendors can get further information by calling Lorraine at 905-733-8197.
Starting during the market there will be activities for Kids including a Bouncy Castle beginning at 12 Noon and Face Painting with both continuing past when the Grandstands Open at 4:00.
Race fans and Race Teams will be entertained prior to race time by Tragically Hip Tribute Band Shoot from the Hip who were enjoyed by all during last year’s Canada 150 Celebration.
Jason James will perform at Intermission with Katrina Uddenberg singing the National Anthems. Following the Fireworks Display by Firemaster Productions – Shoot from the Hip will close out the night in the Pavillion behind the Turn 1 Grandstands.
