Innisfil, Ontario — Making his APC Auto Parts United Late Model Series debut at Sunset Speedway, Coltin Everingham continued building his notebook with lessons learned in his rookie Pro Late Model campaign.

Everingham would start off the day by laying down a lap of 14.817 seconds to qualify 24th for the feature.

Starting on the 12th row, Everingham avoided the couple early incidents that plagued his fellow competitors to gain a couple positions. From there, he utilized the long green flag run through the middle portion to gain a couple more spots to move up the ranks, while learning how the length of these events compared to regular 30 to 50 lap races changes the handling of the car.

A caution past halfway bunched the field back up and despite being a lap down to the leaders, Everingham utilized it as much as he could to his advantage to gain a couple more spots to finish 19th.

Everingham will be back behind the wheel of his Queenston Chevrolet Buick GMC OSCAAR Modifed presented by Just Foam It for Wally Wilson Racing on Saturday, August 21 at Sauble Speedway. He enters the event ranked seventh in the standings, a single point outside the top-five. He also is tied for the Rookie of the Year points lead.
